ITO/Avdagiç: We Hope for Swift Developments in Syria That Establish Complete Security

Foreks - Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) President Şekib Avdagiç stated, "As the business world, we assess the developments in Syria on the basis of humanity and neighborly relations, and we hope that these developments will conclude in a way that will establish full security for Syria and the region as soon as possible."

In a post on his account on the social media platform X, Avdagiç shared his views on the collapse of the 61-year Ba'ath regime in Syria and the developments in the region. He indicated that a new era has begun for both Turkey and Syria in every sense, and he noted that they are following with appreciation the struggle of the Syrian people and their determination to liberate their country.

Şekib Avdagiç mentioned that they evaluate the developments in Syria as the business world based on humanity and neighborliness, expressing their desire for these developments to lead to full security in Syria and the region as soon as possible.

ITO President Avdagiç continued: "We wish for the chaotic environment that has been fueled by great suffering in the region for the past 13 years to transform into an atmosphere where peace can flourish again. A new page has been opened for Syrians who have been forced to leave their land, whose families have been divided, and who live in scarcity. Lastly, I must emphasize that we have once again witnessed the correctness of the policies put forth by the Republic of Turkey regarding Syria. We expect this policy, which is based on protecting the innocent and oppressed people and built on sacrifices, to yield positive results for both countries. Just as Turkey stands by Syria in its 'bad days', it will continue to do so in its 'good days' as well."
