Şişecam's Flat Glass and Frosted Glass Production Facility Capacity Expansion and Additional Coated Glass Production Project Enters EIA Process

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process has begun for the Flat Glass and Mirror Production Capacity Increase and Additional Coated Glass Production project planned by Şişecam (IS:SISE).

An announcement on the website of the General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permit and Inspection provided the following information: "The Flat Glass and Mirror Production Capacity Increase and Additional Coated Glass Production project, planned to be carried out by Türkiye Şişe ve Cam Fabrikaları A.Ş. at the Flat Glass Tarsus Factory located at 31 island, 1 parcel in Tarsus Organized Industrial Zone, Mersin province, has had its EIA application file reviewed in accordance with Article 8 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation. It has been determined that the application is prepared in compliance with the EIA General Format, and the EIA process for the project has been initiated. Until the EIA process is completed, any information regarding the process as well as comments, questions, and suggestions related to the project can be sent to the Mersin Governorship (Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanism, and Climate Change) or the Ministry of Environment, Urbanism, and Climate Change."
