Headline: Seasonally Adjusted CPI Reached 1.87% in December
Forex - Seasonally adjusted consumer prices in December came in significantly above the inflation rate announced on Friday. The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) released the seasonally adjusted consumer price data for December. Accordingly, seasonally adjusted consumer prices increased by 1.87% in November compared to the previous month. Yesterday, the monthly increase in consumer prices was recorded at 1.03%, which was well below the market expectation of 1.63%. The seasonally adjusted CPI excluding energy, food and non-alcoholic beverages, alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, and gold (C index) increased by 2.74% in the same month, while the CPI excluding unprocessed food products, energy, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco, as well as gold (B index), rose by 2.46%. The C index and B index were announced yesterday as 1.06% and 1.10%, respectively.
