Market Outlook - Consumer Prices in China Expected to Rise by 0.1% in December
According to a survey conducted among economists, consumer prices in China may have increased by 0.1% year-over-year in December, compared to a 0.2% rise in November. Meanwhile, the survey suggests that factory gate prices may have dropped by 2.4% last month, following a 2.5% decline in November. Economists state that Beijing's recent aggressive measures to stimulate the economy are struggling to fend off deflationary pressures due to a prolonged property slump. The National Bureau of Statistics is scheduled to release inflation data on Thursday.
