The Environmental Impact Assessment File for OYAK Cement's Marble Quarry Capacity Increase and Crushing Screening Facility Project Has Been Opened for Review

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) file regarding the planned marble quarry capacity increase and crushing-sieving facility addition project by OYAK Cement has been opened for public consultation.

According to a statement made on the website of the General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permits, and Supervision, the following information was provided:

"The Environmental Impact Assessment process has begun for the marble quarry capacity increase and crushing-sieving facility addition project numbered S:68997 (ER:2550939), planned to be carried out by OYAK CEMENT FACTORIES A.Ş. within the borders of the ÇAL district of DENİZLİ province, and the EIA application file has been opened for public review. A Public Participation Meeting will be held on 30/01/2025 in accordance with Article 9 of the EIA Regulation to inform the public about the project and to collect their views and suggestions. Those wishing to review the EIA Application File can do so from the Ministry Headquarters or from the DENİZLİ Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization, starting from the announcement date, and can provide their opinions to the Ministry or the Governorship within the timeline of the project. Information regarding the location and time of the Public Participation Meeting can be obtained from the General Directorate of EIA and the DENİZLİ Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change."
