Lowest Pension Increase: New Minimum Set at 14,469 TL
Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced that the minimum SSK and Bağ-Kur pensions have been increased by 15.75%, raising the monthly pensions to 14,469 TL.
Following the determination of December’s inflation figures, millions of retirees and civil servants are eagerly awaiting information regarding salary increments, and Minister Işıkhan provided details about the increases. In his statement, Işıkhan indicated that the monthly pensions for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees were elevated to 14,469 TL, with an increment of 15.75%. Civil servants and civil servant retirees are set to receive a salary increase of 11.54%, and the new salary amounts have also been announced.
11.54% Salary Increase for Civil Servants With the finalization of December’s inflation figures, the official salary increments for millions of civil servants and retirees have also been determined. According to Minister Vedat Işıkhan’s statements, civil servants and civil servant retirees will see a salary increase of 11.54%.
As a result of these increases, the salary of a university graduate civil servant will rise to 45,527 TL, while a research assistant at level 7/1 will earn 63,848 TL. An expert doctor at level 1/4 will see their salary increase to 109,126 TL. Although there are no regional variations, the increase percentages provide a noticeable raise across all salary groups.
Increases for Engineers and Other Professions Engineers, lawyers, teachers, and numerous other professions will also benefit from these increase rates. The salary of an engineer at level 1/4 will increase to 67,663 TL, while the salary for lawyers will be 63,609 TL. Teachers’ salaries are expected to reach 52,906 TL.
On the other hand, it was revealed that professors will have their new salaries set at 96,346 TL. While the 11.54% increase is generally applied to various professional groups, some specific professions see higher increments. These increases significantly impact civil servant salaries, providing similar improvements for civil servants across different professional fields.
Additional Improvements for Police and Health Workers Increased salaries for police officers and healthcare workers also stand out. The salary of a police officer at level 8/1 will amount to 58,910 TL, while a nurse at level 5/1 will earn 53,437 TL.
The increase for preachers will bring their salaries to 55,303 TL. The salary increases across various segments of society aim to maintain income balance against inflation.
