Cooperation and Information Sharing Protocol Signed Between the Capital Markets Board and the Personal Data Protection Authority
Forex - A "Cooperation and Information Sharing Protocol" was signed between the Capital Markets Board (CMB) and the Personal Data Protection Authority (PDPA) by CMB President İbrahim Ömer Gönül and PDPA President Prof. Dr. Faruk Bilir at our headquarters in Ankara.
In his speech here, CMB President İbrahim Ömer Gönül stated that the processing of personal data and the protection of personal data in capital market activities, business, and transactions falling under the authority of the Board are becoming increasingly important. Gönül said, "The protocol signed with the PDPA envisions the establishment of a Coordination Committee to enhance coordination efforts, information sharing, and cooperation."
Gönül expressed that the protocol aims for information and opinion sharing on common issues within the scope of both institutions, including the protection of personal data, data privacy, and data security. He added that joint projects and activities, training of professional personnel, and the organization of joint publications and awareness-raising events are planned. He noted that this process represents a significant step toward enhancing trust in capital markets and protecting investors.
