Beko continues to gain international recognition for its sustainability efforts. The company achieved a new milestone by ranking first in the "2025 Top Impact Companies" list published by Real Leaders, the world's first sustainable business and leadership magazine, which highlights companies that contribute the most to the environment and society.
Beko's CEO, Hakan Bulgurlu, stated, "At Beko, we view sustainability beyond environmental-focused goals as the establishment of principled business models, ensuring social equality, and implementing inclusive policies for all segments of society. We are taking tangible steps in this direction. Our position at the top of this prestigious list published annually by one of the world's leading sustainability publications, Real Leaders, is a significant indicator that our efforts in this field are being recognized on a global scale. We will continue to be an example to our ecosystem with our sustainability journey and reinforce our leadership with our pioneering practices."
Focusing on reducing carbon footprint, enhancing energy efficiency, and increasing renewable energy installed capacity across all processes, Beko continues to lead the industry with its environmental and social sustainability activities. Beko climbed from 17th to 1st place in the "2025 Top Impact Companies" list of Real Leaders, a U.S.-based magazine recognized as the first in the field of business and leadership for sustainability. With its vision of "Respectful to the World, Respected in the World," Beko continues to inspire sustainable living in every home, encouraging not only its own operations but also its partners and customers to contribute to a sustainable future.
The Real Leaders Impact Awards is a prestigious award platform honoring leaders who make the world a better place. This year's list, announced for the seventh time, evaluated over 300 applications, ranking companies based on their three-year compound growth rate and projected 2024 annual revenues. The assessments were based on companies meeting at least one of six different criteria, including mission, measurable success metrics, culture, leadership approaches, reporting processes, and collaborations. The award ceremony will take place on February 3-4, 2025, with the participation of company CEOs.
Beko's steps taken in the fight against climate change and for environmental sustainability are evaluated not only by Real Leaders but also by other global assessment bodies like S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment. The company, which ranked first for the sixth time in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment, recently received approval from the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), one of the world's most respected organizations in sustainability, for its short-term targets aligned with a 1.5-degree climate scenario and net-zero goal.
