Yum! Brands Terminates Franchise Agreement with Operator of All KFC and Pizza Hut Restaurants in Turkey

Yum! Brands announced that it has terminated its franchise agreement with İş Gıda A.Ş., the owner and operator of all KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants in Turkey. The decision to terminate was made due to İş Gıda's failure to meet the standards set by Yum! Brands.

Chris Turner, Yum! Brands Chief Financial Officer, stated, "Having capable, capital-driven, and committed 3C franchise partners is crucial for our business. While we strive to provide them with the support and tools necessary for success every day, we also expect our partners to deliver a high-quality experience to our customers. Prior to the termination, Yum! Brands worked for several months to address and support the issues. However, İş Gıda could not maintain compliance with our standards and failed to uphold the fundamental obligations of our franchise agreements."
