Wind Energy Stocks Tumble After Trump's Opposition to New Turbines
Investing.com -- Following statements from newly elected President Donald Trump indicating his opposition to the construction of new wind turbines in the U.S., shares of American wind energy companies, including GE Vernova (NYSE:GEV), fell during pre-market trading on Wednesday.
The sector reacted swiftly; leading wind energy players such as TPI Composites and American Superconductor Group experienced pre-market losses of 2.9% and 2.8%, respectively.
Adam Crisafulli, founder of Vital Knowledge, emphasized the impact of the political stance on the market, stating, "Wind-related stocks are lagging due to Trump's turbine comments."
